Año tras año se entregan los Premios de la Academia, la noche de gala más importante de Hollywood donde se premia lo mejor del año. Los Oscars 2020, tal su nombre informal, fueron históricos dado que por primera vez un film “extranjero”, Parasite, se coronó como lo mejor de Hollywood. Sin embargo la hazaña no terminó ahí ya que además, el director Bong Joon-ho se volverá a casa con cuatro Oscars por esta cinta.
Entre los momentos a destacar de la ceremonia estuvo la recepción del Oscar de Bong Joon-ho, director de Parasite, quien parecía el más sorprendido de ver la aceptación de su obra. Brad Pitt ganó en mejor actor de reparto por Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, una categoría peleadísima y llena de gigantes como Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Tom Hanks y Anthony Hopkins.

Otro momento clave fue cuando Joaquin Phoenix recibió el Oscar a mejor actor y aprovechó para hablar de la importancia de la salud mental y recordar a su hermano, además de abogar por la tolerancia y respeto por diferentes razas, la comunidad LGBT, y más. ¿El último dato clave?
