Esperados por muchos, los Oscars tuvieron su noche. La 95ª edición de los Premios de la Academia se llevó a cabo el domingo 12 de marzo en el Dolby® Theatre en Ovation Hollywood y tuvo como presentador a Jimmy Kimmel, quien obviamente no dejó pasar los chistes sobre el cachetazo de Will Smith a Chris Rock del año pasado.
¿La gran ganadora de la noche?. Sin lugar a dudas fue Everything Everywhere All at Once, película que tenía 11 nominaciones y consiguió la victoria en siete. Dirigida por Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert, la entrega se llevó los Oscars en las categorías: mejor actor y actriz de reparto, actriz protagonista, mejor película, mejor guion original, mejor director y edición de película.
Si bien The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, The Fabelmans y TÁR tenían varias nominaciones, ninguna pudo llevarse una estatuilla. La que sí arrasó fue la entrega extranjera alemana All Quiet on the Western Front, la cual no solo ganó Mejor película internacional (dejando a Argentina con ganas de llevarse el Oscar por Argentina, 1985), sino también Mejor banda sonora, Mejor diseño de producción y filmografía.
